Thrill to the exploits of Jousting Knights on thundering steeds. Roam the village shops for unique crafts and goods as artisans demonstrate period skills. Delight in comedy, music and feats of derring-do. Feast on delicious food and drink while strolling minstrels entertain. “Twelfth Night!,” Shakespeare Festival St. Louis

Where: SHAKESPEARE GLEN IN FOREST PARK in front of art museum

Annual Shakespear in the park returns this weekend with Twelfth Night under the stars in Forest Park. Bring blankets or chairs for free lawn seating. Coolers and picnic baskets are welcome or buy food and drinks a the performance.  If you come early yo will see the the traditional Green Show where dancers, musicians, jugglers and other entertainers interact with the audience. St Louis Blues Week Festival

Where: SOLDIER’S MEMORIAL IN DOWNTOWN ST. LOUIS

This free Blues festival celebrates the rich Blues history of St. Louis with a weekend packed full of music, food, and good times. This year’s event features the first ever BBQ Battle Royale with 30 teams competing to win cash, prizes and of course, big-time bragging rights. Headlining on Saturday, May 25 is Blues legend Mavis Staples.
