St. Louis is a pretty Dog Friendly City and as a Pet Owner myself I was finding it hard to find a comprehensive list of local Dog Parks to bring my “Girls” to.  So here is a comprehensive list of St. Louis Dog Parks, on the bottom are even a couple of free ones I found.  These are all “Off-Leash” Parks.  If I have missed any or if I need to add something important PLEASE comment and let me know.

I managed to find 2 Free Dog Park Areas.  One is in the Beautiful Sculpture Park and the Other is in Jefferson County in Arnold.  There are many free dog parks in the St. Charles, Wentzville, O’Fallon area, you can find more on those here.  OSOTR (Other side of the River as we call it in St. Louis)

“Twelfth Night!,” Shakespeare Festival St. Louis


Where: SHAKESPEARE GLEN IN FOREST PARK in front of art museum

Annual Shakespear in the park returns this weekend with Twelfth Night under the stars in Forest Park. Bring blankets or chairs for free lawn seating. Coolers and picnic baskets are welcome or buy food and drinks a the performance.  If you come early yo will see the the traditional Green Show where dancers, musicians, jugglers and other entertainers interact with the audience. Green show 6:30 p.m.; Performance 8:00 p.m. (except Tuesdays)

Wheel chair and hearing impaired prepared  (Thursday performances are signed for the hearing impaired). The site is wheelchair accessible.

St Louis Blues Week Festival



This free Blues festival celebrates the rich Blues history of St. Louis with a weekend packed full of music, food, and good times. This year’s event features the first ever BBQ Battle Royale with 30 teams competing to win cash, prizes and of course, big-time bragging rights. Headlining on Saturday, May 25 is Blues legend Mavis Staples. Other headliners include international superstars Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Mud Morganfield (Muddy Waters’ son) and St. Louis’ own Big George Brock. 4:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (24), 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. (25-26)
